H&S Level 2 in the Workplace
At level 2, this gives the workforce interaction with the trainer and is a higher level than the online training we offer which is targeted at all employees.
This is a one day course which is aimed at all team leaders and potentially most employees, it gives an insight to the Health & Safety at Work Act and key responsibilities and risk assessments. It then concentrates on the main day H&S issues you come across in the workplace.
All the main topics are introduced such as: Personal Protective Equipment, good housekeeping, the difference between slips trips and falls and work at height. Ladders, electricity & electric shock, manual handling, ergonomics, display screen equipment, use of machinery, noise & vibration, COSHH, transport and drivers.
Fire Safety
Qualsafe Fire Safety Level 1
At level 1 this is half day course offering a basic awareness aimed at all employees
This is a half day course is aimed at all employees and covers basic causes of fire, fire prevention and types of fire extinguishers and their use. This gives the delegate the opportunity to ask questions and relate it to their current workplace
This is often run together with the Qualsafe Fore Safety Level 2 making a full day.
Individual cost £60 plus travel (minimum day charge £350 plus travel)

Qualsafe Fire Safety Level 2
At level 2 this one day course offers the additional training to be a Fire Marshall
This is often run together with the Qualsafe Fire Safety course so everyone is covered at the same time Level 2 making a full day.
Individual cost £110 plus VAT £132 and my travel costs.

Work at Height
Qualsafe – Level 2
The Work at Height course explores the Hierarchy of Control, the difference between Fall Arrest & Fall Restraint with practical application and different work related environments.
At Level 2, we are looking at the basic requirements of your workforce ensuring they have suitable and sufficient training to do their job. Firstly they will learn about the Hierarchy of Control which is fully explained and why we need to install collective control measures which includes things such as Anti Climb devices before individual control measures such as PPE & RPE.
Going hand in hand with the Hierarchy of Control you will then learn about the difference between Fall Arrest and Fall Restraint ensuring you make the correct selection which is complemented with a practical session.
You will also learn about Legislation, Risk Assessment, Rescue Plans and Harness Suspension (Also known by various other names).
We will also look at basic ladder safety, MEWP’s, Mobile scaffold towers.

Note: this is not a Scaffolding course, for that you will require separate training

H&S Level 3 in the Workplace
Qualsafe – Level 3
At level 3, this course is aimed at Section / Team leaders responsible for looking after their own departments, or simply an individual who wants the higher level award. This may be a pre-requisite for the 6160-06 Confined spaces management course or some other award. It could simply be that you want a level 3 for your CV and future employment.
This course covers everything on the Level 2 award in more depth and where possible involves walking round the workplace to look at the work environment. This course is a lot more interactive with the delegates participating in course work for a lot of the course.
This qualification forms part of the QA Health and Safety suite of qualifications. The qualification and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of: National Occupational Standards (NOS) related to health and safety in the workplace and recommendations of good practice outlined by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
This qualification develops a detailed understanding of health and safety in the workplace and builds on health and safety awareness to provide the learner with more advanced health and safety knowledge.
Objective: The objective of the qualification is to benefit learners through developing more advanced health and safety knowledge. It covers understanding the requirements for health, safety and welfare in the workplace and legal requirements, the benefits of using a health and safety system, understanding the principles of risk assessment, understanding the risks and control methods for common workplace hazards and how to manage the effects of accidents and ill health.

Manual Handling
Qualsafe – Level 2
This is a level 2 award in manual handling aimed at all personnel who need to move objects
At level 2, this offers more than our online training course in that the delegates get interaction with the trainer and the opportunity to ask questions and work out solutions in real time.
This also covers any legal obligation a company may have ensuring that suitable and sufficient training is given.
Providing conditions and local policy and practices permit, this can be done in the workplace so it can be directly linked to the actual work that people are doing, which provides much more satisfaction for the delegates participating.
