GET3391: Confined spaces in construction high risk – Refresher
Overview
This is the CITB approved Confined spaces in construction high risk refresher training. The purpose of this standard is to refresh you about safe entry into confined spaces with non-standard, hazardous entries which, in consequence, makes rescue difficult and the requirement to use Full Breathing Apparatus (Full BA).
Content This course includes confined spaces & definition, relevant paperwork, barriers, signage, personal protective equipment (PPE), fall arrest equipment gas levels & detectors, Escape Breathing Apparatus (EBA) and Full BA, BA control, roles and responsibilities, emergency procedures practical exercises & assessments.
All practical training will take place within our mobile training unit unless it is a bespoke course for a specific requirement. This will only happen after the client has produced a suitable risk assessment that is approved by the ATO. In all cases this will include opportunities to practice using specialist personal protective equipment (PPE) in confined spaces.
Clase size will be a maximum 10 for theory and 6 for practical.
The will be 100% face to face training and have about a 55/45 split between theory and practical sessions and is considered an intermediate level course.

Language Good command of the English language both reading and writing
Assessment Written question paper and practical assessments, pass/fail

Fitness & Health Need to be physical fit and weight 136kg or less and clean shaven
Times Arrive at 0745 hrs ready to start at 0800 hrs – 1700 hr
Duration 2 days
Validity 3 years, then renew
Payment The above prices assume cleared payment is made within 14 days of training, otherwise different rates apply. These start with payment 15-30 days after training, incurring an extra 20% of the overall cost
