Which course is for you?
In-House – Anyone,   City & Guilds – Water industry,   NPORS – Construction,   JSP375 – MOD,
Type A,B,C – UKPN Power industry Southern

With In-House training there is no set syllabus, typically people try to mirror City & Guilds training without the necessity to have a separate trainer and assessor. With one person delivering the whole course they can build a repour with the delegates and will be awear of the strengths and weaknesses of the delegates. Because of this you will see wording like CS1,2,3,4 with slightly different content and NC1,2,3,4

CS1 Low Risk Confined Spaces Entry £90

1 Day Low risk confined spaces training course. includes theory and practical use of Gas Monitor, Winch, Tripod, Harness but no form of breathing apparatus and assessments

CS2 Medium Risk Confined Spaces Entry £140

1 Day £140 or 2 Day £240 Medium risk confined spaces entry course. This includes theory and practical use of Gas Monitor, Winch, Tripod, Harness, Escape Breathing apparatus (EBA) and assessments

CS3 High Risk Confined Spaces Entry £250

2 Day High risk confined spaces entry course. This includes theory and practical use of Gas Monitor, Winch, Tripod, Harness, Escape Breathing apparatus (EBA), Full breathing Apparatus *Full BA) and assessments. If you already hold CS2 this is simply a one day course

CS4 Rescue course £250

2 day course covering theory in rescue techniques, very much hands on doing practical  exercises. Must hold CS3 High Risk and basic First Aid training. Again there are both theory and practical assessments

Simply answer some basic questions, do you just want a knowledge of Confined Spaces with no intention of actually going into anything more than a valve pit or similar, where you can stand up & exit the pit? Yes, you need Low Risk Confined Spaces NC1 but if you need more then read on. Please note the NC1 category das developed expressly at the request of the water industry

Do you require a working knowledge of Confined Spaces & a requirement to entre such things as manholes & culverts?  Yet you can be seen form the entry point & can exit the space within 30 seconds, then you need Medium Risk Confined Spaces NC2.  This involves the use of Winch, Tripod & Harness, but not the Escape Breathing Apparatus (EBA) for that you need NC3.

Do you need to penetrate a system or have multiple entrants who cannot exit within 30 seconds or be seen from the entry point, then you require Medium Risk Confined Spaces NC3 which includes the use of Escape Breathing Apparatus (EBA) & all entrants will have their own individual Gas Monitor.  If you need all this & more, then its High Risk Confined Spaces Entry that you need

If you are required to go into known hostile environments that will require the use of Full Breathing Apparatus (Full BA), then you require the High Risk Confined Spaces Entry NC4 course that covers everything beforehand.  Alternatively if you already hold medium risk confined spaces then this can be done as an add on.

Do you need your own confined spaces rescue team?  If so firstly they need to hold High Risk Confined Spaces plus Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) or higher.

Please note NC!.NC2. NC3, NC4 is water industry terminology and relates their classification system

NC1-4 10

1 Day Confined Spaces Awareness (NC1/Low Risk)

*Individual cost maximum £80* plus my travel
Group rates very for 5-10 delegates dependent on just what you want

SPECIAL OFFER UNTIL EASTER 2019 £1100 MAX 10 DELEGATES ANY LOCATION ENGLAND & WALES *(Other locations please contact us)
1 Day Confined Spaces Entry, Med Risk / NC3,
with Escape Breathing Apparatus EBA for self rescue
(Competent Person Cert
ificate issued) Confined Spaces Ticket

This is for people who need a working knowledge of Confined Spaces & require to enter confined spaces, chambers, culverts etc.  Working out of sight from surface cover or where it would take more than 30 seconds to exit the space, therefore there may be a need for Escape Breathing Apparatus (EBA).  This is by far the most popular course we run, but it is a full intensive day that will typically finish between 1600 -1700 hrs dependent on the number of delegates & allowing 30 mins for lunch.  This course can also be run over 2 days which makes everything a lot more relaxed and we go into more depth on the Risk Assessment & Safe System of Work which is more desirable for companies and individuals that get more involved in the planning stage as well as the entries.
*Individual cost maximum £140* plus my travel
Start dates: As and when requested

Group rates vary for 5-10 delegates dependent on just what you want, and you can pick the date, I do not recommend this course for a Friday as it is a full intensive day. The 2 day version of this course is perfect for Thursday & Friday.[/vc_column_text]

This course is a lot more relaxed & we go into more depth on the Risk Assessment & Safe System of Work which is more desirable for companies and individuals that get more involved in the planning stage.  It can also be adapted to cover JSP375 paperwork which is required for people working on MOD/Defence Estates contracts and is more preferable for the Person in Charge (PinC) of the work group.
