UKPN Type A, B, C Confined Spaces

Classifications:
The ACOP L101 stipulates that once a confined space has been identified it then needs to be classified according to its level of risk. This is where UKPN differ from other companies or organisations in the that they concentrate of poor ventilation and use the trem Tpyes A, B C
Type A
Good access, poor ventilation. Basements that you can enter via a doorway or stairs, this requires an On Site Risk Assessment.
Type B
Vertical access, poor ventilation. Manholes & chambers, this requires Type B Entry Document.
Type C
Multiple access, communication problems and poor ventilation. This requires a Tunnel Entry Document (TED) which must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance. test.
